Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 26, 2026 · Contact: support@stitchwork.app
Stitchwork is a cross-stitch pattern tracker. We designed it to keep your data private by default. This policy explains the little data involved and how it is handled.
Your patterns and stitches stay yours
The patterns you import, your stitch progress, and your floss stash are stored on your device and, if you are signed into iCloud, synced through your own private iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit private database). We have no access to this content — we cannot see your patterns, your progress, or your floss stash. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party.
What is collected — anonymous crash & diagnostic data
To find and fix bugs, the app sends anonymous crash reports and diagnostic/error information using Sentry (a third-party error-monitoring service acting as our processor). This may include the device type and OS version, the app version, and technical details about a crash or error. It is:
- not linked to your identity (no name, email, Apple ID, or IP-based identity);
- not used to track you across apps or websites, and never used for advertising;
- not your pattern content — pattern names, file names, stitches, and floss data are not sent.
Purchases
The optional one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We never receive or store your payment details.
What we do not do
- No user accounts, logins, or profiles.
- No advertising, ad identifiers, or third-party analytics/marketing SDKs.
- No tracking as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency.
- We do not sell or share your personal information.
Children
Stitchwork is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because the only data we receive is anonymous diagnostic data not linked to your identity, we generally cannot identify an individual from it. For questions or requests, contact us at the address above. EU/UK users: our lawful basis for processing diagnostic data is our legitimate interest in fixing bugs and improving the app (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)); you may object via the contact address.
Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above reflects the latest version.
